Employee scheduling is made easy with Tommy’s drag and drop scheduling software. Simply drag a employee or shift template onto the schedule to quickly assign or create new shifts. Schedule from anywhere, on desktop, tablet, or mobile.

Easily replicate one time periods shifts into a new period with the option to copy existing shift assignments or copy the shift structure without team members assigned. Good for those with regular reoccurring schedules.

Save individual shift templates then drag and drop them into the schedule as needed. Ideal for teams with reoccurring role and skill requirements but with daily variances.

Publish unassigned shifts to your schedule allowing suitable employees to either claim or request the shift, all while meeting any role, skill, or hour limitation requirements. This enables employees to pick-up their preferred shifts while keeping within any restrictions imposed on the shift or employee.

Optionally allow employees to swap shifts directly between each other with manager or auto approval if all rules/conditions are met. Pro subscribers can set auto-approval rules using wage estimate variances.

Time & Attendance

No need for fingerprints. Take a selfie with time clocking events for verifiable attendance. This is required by default on the Employee App.
Ideal for distributed teams like field service workers. Employees can attach GPS locations to time clock events. This is a requirement by default on the Employee App if Team Admin has approved Employee App for use in time clocking. Time clock events are the only time location data is shared from Tommy with teams.
Customisable to your team’s needs, you can allow employees to time clock using their own phones or restrict to kiosk only. If using Employee App for time clocking, you can also require GPS location and a selfie photo to be included with time clock events. This is ideal for field service teams and limits physical contact with kiosk devices.

Team admin can enable Kiosk mode. Securing a device for Kiosk use only. Simply login to the Tommy app, go to Time Clock > Settings and you will find Kiosk mode. Once enabled it will lock the app into kiosk mode which can only be unlocked by the Team Admin. Employees can find and reset their Pincodes from their own Employee app.

Save time collecting and verifying timesheets. Tommy auto-populates timesheets from time clocking details. Pro plan has automatic submit or approve function based upon meeting business rules.

Submitted timesheets are easy to verify with highlighted exceptions when time clocking does not match rules from scheduling or pay templates. Pro plan timesheets can be automatically approved if rules are met.

Automatically send notifications to employees that they may have no clocked in or have left their time clock running. Teams may customise these alerts based on your use case, though if set to ‘default’ your team will receive notifications based on best practices Tommy has learnt over time.

Ever forgot to clock-off? Automate the clock-out process and prevent the mistakes by enabling auto clock-out at the scheduled shift ending time. Employees can still update their timesheet if they’ve done overtime but by default they get clocked out at the scheduled shift end time.

Don’t mind if your employee is 1 minute early or 2 minutes late? Set custom time rounding rules for when time clocking events are saved to timesheets. Actual time is still stored though timesheets are rounded based on your rules.

Limit the time window an employee can clock into or out of a scheduled shift.

Manage employee leave requests. Managers can approve/deny requests while seeing PTO balances and availability reflected on the employee scheduling board. Set block out days where employees cannot make requests and set custom leave policies with automatic accrual of leave balances.

Employee has misplaced their device? Data stored locally from your Team Account is minimised to critical / as needed data, though if a device is lost or stolen you can use Tommy’s Remote Wipe function to remotely destroy and cached content and logout the device from Tommy. Enterprise Mobility Management (EMM) is difficult in a BYOD environment. Tommy is making this easier by incorporating many EMM requirements directly within our APP.
